The initial brief was to update the existing range of Nak'd snack bars as a pitch option, as the clients was unsure as to whether they should update the packaging at that stage.
Thinking
Our thinking was that the packaging was a bit flatas it was only 2 colours, looking a bit amateur, plus you couldn't see the variety flavour when laid next to each other.
Proposal
We moved the variety flavour firstly, so it could be easily seen. Plus we added a third variety colour to lift the pack visually plus the main ingredient as a raw item illustration to the pack .
THE CLIENT WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE VISUALS AND HOW THEY JUMPED OFF THE SHELF COMPARED WITH THE ORIGINAL. THE PACKAGING ALSO HELPED DISTINGUISH BETWEEN THE EXISTING NINE VARIETIES MORE CLEARLY. THIS WORK LED TO THE CREATION OF NAK'D CRUNCH WHICH WAS ONLY A SMALL ADDITION OF THE CRUNCH PIECES ON THE PACKAGING, BUT SIMPLE ENOUGH TO ADD ANOTHER LEVEL OF DEPTH. NEITHER PACKAGING RANGES HAVE BEEN CHANGED FOR NEARLY TEN YEARS!
